Green amethyst is more correctly known by the name Prasiolite, and it can occur naturally in the earth or be the result of heating purple amethyst. Either way it is an exquisite stone of clear, palest green, said to open the heart chakra.
This decorative 18k gilded silver setting adds a richness to the stone. When I wear this ring it never fails to get a compliment.
The stone is 18 mm by 13 mm and the ring is 28 mm high. The metal is .925 sterling silver with 1 micron of 18k gold vermeil.
